New Glasses

Here, I'm shopping for my new glasses. I found this frame at Cohen's Fashion Optical on Greenwich avenue. It's a two tone wood like plastic frame! To better illustrate, I visited Legre website to look for this style and add a link, but I could not find this very style, or any style that was made to look like wood. Funny, here I was thinking I was on to something new!? So, out of curiosity, I googled 'wood glasses frames' and there popped up a site for Urban Spectacles. I'm totally going off a tangent here, but MAGNIFIQUE!!! It looks like this Chicago artist have been carving wooden spectacles for some time now, and they look so cool, I'm blown away! So, spectacle industry has finally caught up to, or now taking advantage of this independent artist, by figuring out a technology to mass produce wood-plastic. Is my glasses plastic soaked wood? What is it? I want to play with this raw material for my creative outlet!

Oh, by the way, it is the first time I show a photo of myself on this blog. Still cautiously navigating my comfort level.
